The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers

Empowering the Electrical Workforce
In the dynamic world of electrical work, where innovation meets tradition, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) remains a strong advocate for the rights and well-being of electrical workers worldwide. For decades, the IBEW has been at the forefront of shaping industry standards, ensuring fair wages, and providing vital support to its members. At the heart of this monumental effort is Jim Lofty, the dedicated business manager and financial secretary of IBEW Local 213.
Founded alongside the commercial use of electricity itself, the IBEW boasts a rich history deeply intertwined with the growth and development of the electrical industry. From its humble beginnings, the organization has grown into the oldest and largest electrical union globally, representing a diverse array of skilled workers united by their passion for their craft. It has played a pivotal role in shaping industry standards, setting the bar high for safety, quality, and professionalism.
Support and Training for Members
The IBEW’s dedication to its members extends beyond advocacy and representation. The organization provides essential resources, training, and support to empower electrical workers in their careers. Through apprenticeship programs, continuing education opportunities, and comprehensive benefits packages, the IBEW invests in the success and well-being of its members, laying the foundation for a thriving electrical workforce. Commitment to a Brighter Future
In the ever-changing world of electrical work, one thing remains constant for the IBEW: the unwavering dedication to empowering the electrical workforce and shaping a brighter future for all.
