How to Apply for an Apprenticeship

Our prerequisites to apply for apprenticeship are:

  • Grade 12 with successful completion of the following three (3) courses:
    English 12 (or equivalent), Principles of Math 12 and Physics 11

          -OR-

  • Electrical Entry Level Trades Training (ELTT) Program offered through our Joint Training Committee or another accredited training institute (eg. BCIT)

          -OR-

  • Indentured Apprentice with Electrical Work Level 1 or higher from an approved technical training school

To apply, you will need the following:

  1. Our application form (available either by: downloading and printing a copy from our website at www.ejtc.org; contacting our office; or coming to our office in person)

  2. An up-to-date resume

  3. Official transcript from high school

  4. Official transcript from ELTT and/or Electrical Work Level 1 or higher (if applicable)

Submit the completed application form with all supporting documents:

  • In person (note our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm)
  • Drop off in lock box at front door if office is closed (sealed in envelope marked "JTC")

Application Form for Apprenticeship

EJTC Apprenticeship duration is five (5) years
(Credit may be granted for completed electrical pre-apprentice course and/or previous electrical work experience)
