How to Apply for an Apprenticeship
Our prerequisites to apply for apprenticeship are:
- Grade 12 with successful completion of the following three (3) courses:
English 12 (or equivalent), Principles of Math 12 and Physics 11
-OR-
- Electrical Entry Level Trades Training (ELTT) Program offered through our Joint Training Committee or another accredited training institute (eg. BCIT)
-OR-
- Indentured Apprentice with Electrical Work Level 1 or higher from an approved technical training school
To apply, you must submit the following:
- Our application form (available either by: downloading and printing a copy from our website at www.ejtc.org; contacting our office; or coming to our office in person)
- An up-to-date resume
- Official transcript from high school (if you require a transcript and graduated in BC, visit www.bced.gov.bc.ca/transcript and click on “Frequently Asked Questions”)
- Official transcript from ELTT and/or Electrical Work Level 1 or higher (if applicable) from the Industry Training Authority (ITA).
Submit the completed application form with all supporting documents:
- Via mail
- In person

Drop off in lock box at front door if office is closed (in a sealed envelope marked EJTC)
