Founder's Bursary Program

How to Apply for an EJTC Founder's Bursary

Founder's Bursaries are in the amount of $500 each and are distributed annually to deserving apprentices in the EJTC Apprenticeship Training Program.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Registered as an apprentice in an EJTC program
  • Demonstrate a keen desire to excel in the electrical trade in the areas of:
    • Applied skill
    • Technical knowledge
    • Job safety
  • Demonstrated financial need

The letter of application is confidential. The letter should clearly state the ways that the applicant meets the above criteria and describe how the bursary funds are intended to be used. Applicants must also include their name, level of apprenticeship and contact information. Two references should also be included.

Short-listed applicants will be notified by telephone and receive a personal interview with the Selection Committee. A detailed submission may be required following the interview.

Deadlines:

Applications are reviewed twice per year on a first-come, first-serve basis. Deadlines are January 1st and July 1st.
